First, these do not resemble velvet at all, more like a suede. They are heavy, truly block the sun. I had sent the company an email requesting a "passion fruit punch" like the Behr paint. I had decorated/painted the room based on a color scheme. I was told that they can't match colors. I was absolutely giddy when the curtains arrived because they were a perfect match for the "passion fruit punch". Exceptional service, questions were responded to in a timely manner. I wished I could have returned every curtain in my house and replace with these (I bought true velvet blackout curtains). I can't say enough about the quality of the material, albeit not velvet. They are absolutely stunning.
